Gravel is the number one killer of Water Dragons because they will eat it and they will die from eating it.  If you see a Water Dragons tank that has gravel in it, do not buy the Water Dragon because it probably eat some of the gravel and it will probably die.

What is the best location for a Water Dragons (Axolotl) tank?
When choosing a location for your Water Dragons (Axolotl) tank you need to take into consideration some very important factors. First being that the water temperature must remain below 72° any higher and your Water Dragons (Axolotl) will die. You need to keep your tank away from direct sunlight; heat registers because they are a source of heat. Do not use a tank light because that is another source of heat. The perfect environment for your Water Dragons (Axolotl) is a basement (below ground level) especially if it is not heated. If you do not have a basement; I would recommend that you use a non-contact laser thermometer to help you find the coldest location in your house, apartment, or dormitory.

What preparation do I need to do before I get my Water Dragon (Axolotl)?
I recommend that you set up your tank at least one week before ordering any Water Dragon (Axolotl). This will allow you to see if you can of maintaining the proper environment for your Water Dragon (Axolotl). First fill your tank with fresh tap water, after 24 hours the chlorine will be out of the water because the chlorine turn into a gas. Once the chlorine is out of your tank water, it is now safe for the fish to breathe the water.  You need to add at least quantity 10 Rosy Minnows in your tank.
