A Tropical Fish Store is the worst place to buy a Water Dragon. When you look in the tank where the Water Dragons are displayed, you will see a tank filled with gravel. Gravel is the number one killer of Water Dragons because they will eat it and they will die from eating it.  If you see a Water Dragons tank that has gravel in it, do not buy the Water Dragon because it probably has eaten some of the gravel and it will probably die.

Tropical fish store are selling tropical fish so they need to keep the temperature high at 75° degree. A Water Dragon will not survive for long if kept at a temperature of 75° degree. The maximum temperature a Water Dragon will survive at is 72° degree. Tropical fish stores are notorious for bringing in all kinds of different viruses that will kill Water Dragons.
